SOLOMON ISLANDS TO COMMEMORATE 37th ANNIVERSARY
Solomon Islands is commemorating its 37th Independence anniversary tomorrow, Friday 10th July.
The National Government had earlier advised, the shift from the traditional date 7th July is unavoidable due to last week’s bad weather.
A recent public circulation about the change in date explains, the cabinet has endorsed the proposal to reschedule the celebration and mandated the Minister of Home Affairs to declare the 10th July as a special public holiday.
Various celebrations will be staged at Lawson Tama tomorrow.
It is understood, a number of the country’s diplomatic partners are in the country for tomorrow’s celebrations.
