The Solomon Islands Scouts Association will send a six-member team to participate in a World Jamboree in Japan at the end of this month.

Confirming this to SIBC News is Solomon Islands Scout Chief Commissioner Joe Billy Oge.

“The Solomon Islands Scouts Association will be represented in this 23rd World Scout Jamboree with six team members. Three of them will be going as youth participants; there is also one patrol leader, who is also Leader of the Solomon Islands and then there will be another two Solomon Islanders who will be working as what they call International Service Teams.”

He says the event will be held from the 28th July to the 8th of August.
