Solomon Islands OFC Champions League representative Solomon Warriors FC has started its 2016 OFC Champions League campaign with a 4-0 loss to the defending champions Auckland City in the first game of Match Day three at QBE Stadium this afternoon.

The Auckland City have shown they were not giving up their OFC Champions League crown easy.

Warriors made several attempts to at least kill one goal to keep themselves within reach but was unsuccessful.

The local boys have made it better in the first half which resulted in a nil all.

Meanwhile, the second half was different when the defending champions registered their first goal within five minutes after the second spell started.

The resistance of Warriors is finally broken as Daewook KIM heads home a corner.

Auckland City’s Joao MOREIRA has tripled his name on the goal scorer list in this match.

Meanwhile, the boys in red will take on Melanesian brothers, Vanuatu’s rep Amicale FC on Wednesday at the QBE Stadium.
