T.S.I TO PUBLISH SIGNED ELECTION INTEGRITY PLEDGE

Anti-Corruption watchdog, Transparency Solomon Islands (TSI) will soon publish all the candidates that have signed the TSI election integrity pledge.

A statement from TSI said more than 60 candidates have signed the pledge, 99 percent of whom are contesting under their political parties.

It added, those who are willing to sign the pledge are welcome to sign it for the remaining days.

Meanwhile, TSI Executive Officer, Daniel Fenua acknowledged candidates and political parties for signing the pledge as it shows their commitment in political integrity.

Mr Fenua said TSI values the importance of the pledge as it will make the country stronger.

SIBC News understands, the TSI Election Integrity Pledge is a commitment which allows candidates to voluntarily sign to uphold and promote the principles of transparency and accountability as they are ready to contest the coming election.
