The organising committee of the Public Servants Fellowship has handed over offerings collected during last Sunday’s fellowship to the San Isidro Care Centre in Honiara.

Speaking yesterday to officially hand over the money collected, Chair of the organising committee Oswald Ramo said a total of $10,77.80c was collected through offerings and he is pleased to hand it over to the Care Centre.

“On behalf of the committee that was appointed to organise this program for this year I am very happy to hand it over to you officially a total of $10,77.80c for your institution the San Isidro Care Centre. Please take it as our token of appreciation for the good work that you are doing at the Care Centre, we hope that this money will go for a good cause.”

Meanwhile, in his response founder of the Care Centre, Brother George said they are very pleased to receive the funds, saying the Centre welcomes any student wishing to join them in life skills training.

“I should have taken a couple of students with me but because they had gone this morning to their gardens, so in the name of all the students, thank you, thank you, thank you very much and I hope that with these funds we will put to good use in 2015, and for all the mums and dads who wish to send their children to our centre we welcome any student from any church, province, anyone is welcome.”
