THOUSANDS OF FAMILY KITS FROM WORLD VISION SOLOMONS

World Vision Solomon Islands has packed some one-thousand family kits and one-thousand shelter kits for victims affected by the recent flash flooding.
In a statement, Country Director Andrew Cartford said the family kits are for people who lost their possessions and the shelter kits are for people who lost their homes by flooding.
The family kits consist of cooking utensils and other essential items and shelter kits consist of Agricultural tools hammer and nails to help people rebuild their homes.
To date,10-thousand hygiene kits have been distributed to nine-thousand-four hundred and twenty- two people living in evacuation centres.
World Vision is also working with other agencies such as Red Cross to provide water, provision of water trucks and procurement of water purification units.
