The Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) in partnership with the Pacific Financial Inclusion Programme (PFIP) have successfully completed a three-day training on Digital Financial Services (DFS).

A CBSI statement said the training focuses on improving mobile and branchless banking agency management in the country as part of the overall objective of improving financial inclusiveness amongst all Solomon Islanders.

This targets mainly bank officers from all four commercial banks in the country – ANZ, BSP, POB and Westpac – including a third party agency manager from the Premiere Group of companies.

CBSI said this is crucial as improvement of mobile and branchless banking in Solomon Islands depends very much on the effective management of all agencies involved.
