A three day Networking workshop organised by the Ministry of Rural Development, co-facilitated by the Small Malaita Constituency office has ends successfully at Afio.

The first of its kind to be held in Afio, Small Malaita, the workshop aims to bring together various development stakeholders across the Small Malaita Constituency to share information.

A Richard Hou of Small Malaita told SIBC News, the purpose of the workshop was to get the stakeholders share information, knowledge, skills and expertise.

“The purpose of the Network Workshop training so that these stakeholders can be able to share information, knowledge, skills and their expertise and trying to put them together in a plan so that it can improve their organisations to help improve the livelihoods of their people.”

Government officers, non-government organisation members, community leaders, youth leaders, the business sector, church leaders and zone chairpersons of the Small Malaita Constituency attended the workshop.

The workshop was the second to be held by the Ministry of Rural Development in the provinces.

SIBC News understands, the first was held in Choiseul Province.
