A youth rally at Christ the King Parish, Tetere in North Guadalcanal has successfully ended after three days.

SIBC’s Stringer in North Guadalcanal, Dudley Gani reports, the rally was a spiritual gathering and teaching session for youths of the Parish.

Gani reports the rally also discussed issues affecting today’s youths, including early marriages, teenage pregnancy, and alcohol and drug abuse.

“First session, Doctors and nurses from the Good Samaritan Hospital in Tetere gave a talk on early marriage, and problems that relate to teenage pregnancy in girls. And then second session, police officers from Tetere Police Station gave an interesting talk on alcohol and drug abuse, and on the effects of kwaso and marijuana in youths when they take it and why they should stop”.

The Youth Rally at Tetere began on Friday and ended, Sunday afternoon.
