TOWN GROUND SOL PLAZA NEVER DECLARED FAIL: HCC

The Honiara City Council, HCC, has made clarifications following criticisms raised against the re-opening of the Sol Plaza at Town Ground in Honiara.
A spokesman from the Council told SIBC News that the building was never declared a failed building.
The spokesperson says the Town and Country Planning Board has issued the owners of the building with a completion requirement meaning, the building must complete requirements by the Country Planning Board.
The person adds its opening shows the building may have satisfactorily passed the requirements of the Country Planning Board.
SIBC News understands, previously the Town and Country Planning board had issued the building owners with requirements to satisfy SIEA, water and engineering components of the building.
