The Honiara City Council Clerk, Charles Kelly says under the leadership of the present Mayor, the Honiara City Council is pleased with the opening of the first public toilets called the “Mataniko Toilets.”
In an interview with SIBC News, Honiara City Clerk, Charles Kelly says HCC is happy to provide this important service to the public.
“The Council management under the new Mayor’s leadership, we are very happy because we were unable to provide such a service for quite a long time, so now we are able to do that and I think we’ve made it one of our priorities and we are happy because it’s what we are supposed to be doing, providing services to the public.”
The ablution was officially opened last Friday.
