TRIBES TO PARTICIPATE IN SPORTS TOURNEY

Six tribes in Small Malaita will take part in a sports tournament in December.
The theme for the games this year is “Unity in Sports and Culture”.
Chairman of the Haitataewmane Sports Organising Committee Barnabas Honi told SIBC Sports, the tournament is an event that is held annually.
Mr Honi says other activities will also coincide with the sports tournament, including awareness programs.
“We usually have this tournament every year and it units the youths in coming together to take part and also we are having awareness sessions to encourage them at this time, especially in terms of law and order that police will help along with it, culture, church, sports and health and we will encourage the youths to be part of these activities.”
SIBC News understands the Small Malaita tournament begins on Boxing Day on December 26 and will be held until December 30.
