Certain unregistered voters in North Malaita have raised their regret over missing out from the recent national and provincial elections.

Stringer John Andrew Kiri reports, these people have been unable to exercise their democratic right.

The individuals call on the responsible authorities including Solomon Islands Election Commission to help them to register for future elections.

“Many people maybe about 50 of them from each of the Voter Registration Centres told me they have regretted totally missing out on the voter list whereby they should exercise their rights in voting both in the national and provincial elections. The main question they keep asking me is when will the next registration be so that they can register.”

SIBC News understands provincial election for certain provinces ended yesterday and results are slowly coming in.
