Wale petition case struck out

The High Court today struck out the petition case filed against the Leader of Opposition Group in Parliament Hon Mathew Wale.

This is the first among twenty-eight petition cases filed before the High Court.

High Court Registry confirmed, Chief Justice Sir Albert Palmer struck of the petition case against Hon Wale this afternoon.

It says, applications have been filed by Respondents to have their cases struck off but yet to be decided.

According to rules and Procedures of election petition under the Electoral Act, the Court can dismiss any petition cases with insufficient grounds for hearing.
