WOMAN ARRESTED FOR STUBBING HUSBAND’s SHOULDER

A woman has been arrested in Makira Province for stabbing her husband in his left shoulder with a bush knife during an argument.

Police in Kirakira arrested her yesterday. Her husband was taken to the hospital after the stabbing and is reported to be in a stable condition.

The Police Media Office in Honiara confirms the woman is from Hao Village in Makira Province.

She was arrested shortly after the incident on charges of one count of unlawful wounding.

SIBC News understands police officers in Kirakira are continuing their investigations into the matter.
