The New Zealand component of the ‘Render Safe Operation’ has donated 2000 liters of fresh water to Yandina Community High School this week.

The assistance has relieved fresh water scarcity the school has been facing.

Stringer Mr. Tome Kiki reports.

“The Yandina Community High School in Russell islands on Tuesday week received fresh water from the New Zealand HMS Army patrol boat who are currently in Yandina on the Operation Render Safe 2016 to collect and dispose unexploded ordinances from the Second World War.”

Render Safe is an operation to remove and safely detonate unexploded World War Two explosive ordinances.
