In football, the Solomon Islands National U-20 boys have beaten the Cook Islands 3 goals to nil today on Match Day 2 of the OFC U-20 Championship in Luganville, Vanuatu.

The first half of the match was a trial for both sides as they ended in half time break a nil all.

Meanwhile, Solomon Islands’ first goal was registered in the 54th minute when Augustine Waita set a deep cross, slotting in behind the Cook Islands Goal Keeper.

Just three minutes after Waita’s goal, Albert Witney registered his name in the score list with his 56th minute goal.

After a couple minutes of heated exchange, again Witney created a more far margin for Cook Islands side with his side’s third goal.

The U-20 boys await their final pool match against the All Whites at 12pm this Saturday.
