The Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) has for the first time started a youth empowerment Virtual Hub dialogue series with youths across the country.

This is following APTC’s recent establishment of a partnership with the Solomon Islands National Youth Congress (SINYC)

APTC Country Director Ms. Abigail Chang said the hub provides a training opportunity and employment avenue for youths.

“The hud leverages existing technology and communications linkages to connect the existing youth networks in provinces across the country”.

Meanwhile, SINYC Chairperson, Aaron Olofia said the new initiative aims at advancing skills and awareness for youths across the country.

“This virtual youth hub dialogue is piloted to connect youths in established centers in Munda, Gizo, Guadalcanal, Malaita, and Honiara.”

The network aims to cover all youths across the country.

More than a hundred youths in Provincial youth councils in the piloted sites are expected to participate in the first dialogue.

The first virtual youth dialogue is set for March 18th 2021 from 9 am to 12 pm.
