CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS NOW OPEN

Solomon Islanders are encouraged to apply for the United Kingdom’s Chevening Scholarship.

The Acting British High Commissioner, His Excellency, Paul Dryden personally made the appeal through the national voice this morning.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity so if you believe that you have the qualifications which are good leadership and qualities, you are already a graduate and you’re looking to further your career by studying a Masters, please go for it. As they say in the UK if you don’t buy a ticket in the lottery you’ll never win the lottery, so please consider it and the cut-off date or the dateline is the 8th of November.”

His Excellency Dryden says, Chevening Scholarships are awarded to outstanding emerging leaders to pursue one-year masters at any of UK top universities.

He says, five Solomon Islanders have been accepted to study in the UK under this program this year.

Mr Dryden emphasised the scholarship programme provides a unique opportunity for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.

A Chevening Scholarship offers financial support along with the opportunity to become part of the highly regarded and influential Chevening global network.

Applicants can choose any course of study at any UK higher education institution.
