The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) has today received a new computer lab from the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) Government through the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.

Minister of Education and Human Resources Development Dr Derek Sikua handed over the lab to SINU Vice-Chancellor Dr Glynn Galo at the official opening ceremony today.

Speaking to hand over the lab Dr Sikua says it is the Government’s commitment to the university in respect to its policy to increase student’s access to ICT services.

“These computer labs are part of the DCC Government’s commitment to its policy statement and to the Solomon Islands National University, in particular, the students the students who will be the main beneficiaries of these IT facilities.”

The newly opened computer lab contains 130 desktop computers and computer accessories.
