The Minister of Home Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister, Honourable Manasseh Maelanga reminds leaders both in the Government and Private sector – their roles are mandated by God and to Him they will be accountable.
Minister Maelanga made this comment during a National Leaders Prayer Breakfast at Mendana Hotel in Honiara this morning.
Welcoming guests at the prayer meeting, Mr Maelanaga says this year’s theme: ‘Integrity in Leadership’ has so much to remind leaders of their God-given role.
“You may be a church leader, a businessman or a woman, politician like some of us, a teacher, a community leader, whatever our roles are we are in the positions we hold only for this moment. God allows us to be there and for a reason, and it is for that reason that God will require an account from us for what we do during our times in the offices we hold.”
