Ministerial Planners have gathered in Honiara last week for a disaster hazards training.

The training was organized by the United Nation Development Program’s Pacific Risk Resilience Programme (PRRP) in partnership with the Ministry of Development Planning and Aid Coordination.

It aims to ensure future development plans go through a process where all considerations for exposure to hazards during times of natural disasters.

This includes issues around gender and access for people living with disabilities.

A total of 13 Government Ministries attended the training.
