DISEASES SLIGHT INCREASE.
The National Referral Hospital Out Patient Department has recorded a slight increase in communicable diseases which it associates with the current wet weather.
Dr Pedical TogamaeĀ from the Emergency Department confirms to SIBC news, there is a slight increase in diarrhoea and flu related illnesses.
Dr.Togamae adds, movement of sick patients to and from the hospital are also hampered under current weather conditions.
He is concerned about the poor drainage system around the compound however assured the public that the Hospital authority is working hard to ensure water and sanitation inside the Hospital is fit and safe for use.
