Dysentery outbreak claims 3 lives at Anuta
A Dysentery outbreak, associated with flu, vomiting and other related diseases has claimed three lives from Temotu’s Anuta group of Islands in a span of two weeks.
The deceased are two females and a male, who were unable to access any medical attention on the island.
Mathew Forau reports from Vanikoro through a two-way radio that the population of Anuta Island are in dire need for medical assistance from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services to prevent further loss of lives.
Mr Forau confirms, the outbreak was experienced since last month.
SIBC News understands, there is no clinic on the island.
