Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo says flood victims at the evacuation centers in Honiara are waiting for the National Disaster Management Office to come up with a relocation and rehabilitation plan.

Prime Minister Lilo made the statement in Parliament yesterday.

“They are just waiting for the NDMO to come up with a plan for the relocation and rehabilitation of the people who live at the evacuation centres.”

The Prime Minister also said the NDMO and National Disaster Council are still working on a comprehensive plan for short term, medium and long term rehabilitation and restorations.

“The National Disaster Management Office and the National Disaster Council are still working on this comprehensive plan for both short-term, medium and the long-term rehabilitation and restoration of the lives of the victims and that task as we speak now, is very much at the forefront of the NDMO and NDC’s responsibilities.”
