FOUR MEN GOT ARRESTED AT MASUPA, EAST ARE’ARE, MALAITA

Four men at Masupa Village in East Are Are, Malaita Province have been arrested on charges of malicious damage to properties belonging to a logging camp in the area.

The incident occurred on August 29, last month.

Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast announced the arrests to the media at his first weekly media conference last Thursday.

Commissioner Prendergast says patrol police officers made the arrest at Masupa the same day of the crime.

“The incident occurred at Masupa village, a police investigation identified four male suspects who were arrested by patrol officers on the same day and the suspects were brought to Auki police station, where they were charged and bought will appear in court on a later date.”
