The High Court will hear a defamatory suit by former Kia/Hograno/Havulei MP, Selwyn Riumana against the Solomon Star newspaper Monday next week.

The case relates to an article published by the paper in March 2014, alleging the vessel MV Utah Princess was owned by Mr Riumana.

Mr Riumana claimed the article was defamatory because the vessel is owned by the Hograno People’s Association.

Earlier, his lawyer Gabriel Suri in a media statement said the article imputed unfair sinister insinuations to Hon. Selwyn Riumana.

The case is scheduled for half past one in the afternoon, before Justice Leonard Maina, Monday next week.
