HIGH LEVEL HEALTH DELEGATION TO MEETING IN TONGA

A high level delegation from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services will attend the 10th South Pacific Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officers Alliance Meeting in Tonga.

The meeting next week aims to update, discuss and plan effective health programs for all parties involved.

The Ministry today says National Director of Nursing under the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS), Mr. Michael Larui is leading the Solomon Islands delegation to the Meeting.

The statement says during the meeting, Mr. Larui expects to present a paper on Transforming health workforce education in support of Universal health coverage.

It adds Solomon Islands Delegation is also expected to do a country report on Regulation, Education and lessons learned from the recent Disaster and Emergency situations in the country.

SIBC News understands senior regulation leaders, chief nursing officers and Midwifery officers in the Pacific are coming together.
