Following the operation, the boy is now stable and making good progress.

“The mother, sustained minor laceration to her left knee, and a major fracture of the right femur. She had surgery to stabilise the fractured bone the day after admission and is also in a stable condition. The general surgeons and orthopaedic surgeons are currently managing both the mother and her son.”

The National Referral Hospital Management and staff would like to convey sincere condolences to family members of the two deceased for the loss of lives from the explosion and the traumatic injuries and experience by those who survived.
