MHMS & HCC PLANS TO EXTEND IMMUNISATION

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services and the Honiara City Council Health Division have proposed to extend their immunisation awareness campaign through various churches and radio FM stations in the country in the near future.

HCC Child Health and Immunisation Coordinator Mrs Nethlyn Firibae confirmed this to SIBC News today.

She says the parties involved consider the initiative after much discussion and believe it will be another effective means to disseminate immunisation information to its targeted population.

“Our plan is to use women’s groups or church groups to be informed so that they can, in turn, inform their church groups or to their youths and also in media like FM, our other officer will also inform people through that avenue as people will also listen.”
