The Government’s National Healing and Apology program began at the National Art Gallery in Honiara.

The program started with live band performances and music shows from members of the Solomon Islands Music Federation with entertainment promoting and advocating national healing and apology through reconciliation and peace.

A Government statement said a national peace match will begin at the National Art Gallery to Lawson Tama on tomorrow.

It said day four of the program will see a reconciliation between the Solomon Islands Post-Conflict Reconciliation, Rehabilitation and Restoration Association (SIPCRRRA), Guadalcanal, Malaita and Western province at the Rove police ground.

Day five involves a reconciliation of SIPCRRRA with the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force and Correctional Services of Solomon Islands at the Rove field.

The one week program will end with an ecumenical prayer organised by the Solomon Islands Christian Association at Lawson Tama.
