The Deputy Police Commissioner has urged Honiara residents to show hospitality to visiting Jamaican musician, Conkarah.

Juanita Matanga made the statement this week, whilst speaking to journalists at the weekly police conference.

Conkarah real name Nicholas Murray, arrived in Solomon Islands on Monday and put on his first concert in Honiara last
night.

The Deputy Police Commissioner says police will conduct an operation to oversee the musician’s concert.

“The police will also conduct an operation basically to oversee the touring of the Jamaican musician. The musician is having his program in our country and this is why it is very important for all of us to give him the best hospitality so that that upon returning to his country, he would also spread the good news to people in his country, especially about our good country.”

SIBC News understands Conkarah’s final show will be tonight at the Cowboy’s Bar and Grill in Honiara.
