People of Tamboko, West Guadalcanal are calling on the Guadalcanal Provincial government to provide information to the public about its development programs and achievement.

Chief and Community Representative Ben Misu said people of Guadalcanal province need to know how their government advance its development goals.

He says, people need to be informed on developments concerning them.

“We encourage you honorable MPA’s to check and balance what you are producing for Guadalcanal as leaders. Come out please and tell it out to the people of Guadalcanal what your achievements, goals and objectives as well as your aspirations. We the people need to know so that we can also share our ideas when it comes to the extraction of our resources such as gold, logging, palm oil just to name a few.”

Chief Misu calls on the Guadalcanal Provincial government to stop being ‘power hungry’ and practice good governance for the advancement of the province and country.

SIBC understands, other provinces are also calling on their provincial leaders to be accountable in their provincial assembly term.
