PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS THANKED MP’s SUPPORT

People with special needs in the country commend Members of Parliament for their supportive comments in last week’s Parliament meeting.

A member of the community Rose Simbe says listening live on SIBC to MPs deliberating on support for people with special needs instill so much joy.

Ms. Simbe particularly acknowledge Hon. Derrick R Manu’ari member for West Makira and Hon. Chris Loare member for Shortlands for their affirmative comments in the highest decision-making body in Solomon Islands.

She says Hon. Derrick R Manu’ari is highly commended for his call to the Sogavare- led government to support people with special needs.

Thanking both MPs, Ms. Simbe says, this minority group do not always have a fair share of all available resources.

She urge all MPs to assist people with disabilities in their respective constituencies.

Ms. Simbe extends her call to all town planners, architectures and engineers to include accessibility for people with special needs their planning.

She says the National Referral Hospital’s Physiotherapy and CBR departments have also been under resourced.
