Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has invited Sir Allan Kemakeza, Sir Paul Tovua and Joses Tuhanuku to meet with him in his office about the cabinet decision to provide rehabilitation packages to former combatants.

In a statement, Prime Minister Sogavare said he has decided against continuing with the debate on the cabinet decision in the media as it has become too personal and benefits none of them or the nation.

Mr Sogavare said he has decided to stop from engaging in the unproductive debate that they have entangled themselves in recent days.

He said the debate has become too personal and they will gain nothing out of it.

The Prime Minister invites the three statesmen to meet with him in his office so they can discuss the issue in a stately manner rather than attacking each other in the media.
