Police officer receives award
A member of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force was a recipient of the Solomon Islands Meritorious Medal during the official 40th anniversary of independence celebrations in Honiara last Friday.
Inspector Lillian Nawaro Dagi’s award recognised her personal achievement within the Force and her work with the RSIPF in keeping law and order in the country.
Police Commissioner Mathew Varley congratulated Inspector Dagi and encourages all officers within the RSIPF to aim high in the performance of their daily duties wherever they are serving.
Commissioner Varley said they too, will be presented with such an award.
Officers of the RSIPF including the Police Band, the Correctional Services of Solomon Islands (CSSI) and members of several youth groups including the Boys Scouts, Girl Guides, Brownies and Pathfinders took part in the colorful parade at Lawson Tama to commemorate the 40 Anniversary of Solomon Islands.
