PRENDERGAST ATTENDS CHIEF OF POLICE CONFERENCE IN NEW ZEALAND
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force Commissioner Frank Prendergast will attend a Pacific Islands Chief of Police Conference in New Zealand this weekend.
Commissioner Frank Prendergast says the conference is important as it focuses on crime prevention.
Commissioner Prendergast says he is optimistic that RSIPF will benefit from the conference as the police continue its crime prevention operation.
“I am heading over to New Zealand on the weekend to attend a Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police Conference, which is a very important conference involving Police Chiefs from all around the Pacific. The conference this year is particularly important because it’s focused on Crime Prevention and I think this is a key issue for police forces around the world including the Solomons that we shift from enforcing crime to preventing crime, which is a much more desirable outcome.”
