The Magistrate’s Court has today refused bail for three men accused of robbing the WestPac bank in January this year.

Acting Chief Magistrate Shephard Lapo refused to grant bail to Stanley Ramo, David Faiga Junior and Nathaniel Eric Junior this morning.

He, however, informed the Court the three men can appeal the bail ruling in fourteen days time.

Meanwhile, the prosecution told the Court they have discovered insufficient evidence for some of the charges against the accused.

Prosecutor Ishmael Kekou says these charges relate to unlawful wound for all six of the accused, except David Faiga.

He said the amendments will depend on the endorsement of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Six men are accused of being involved in the robbery where one million dollars was allegedly stolen.

A substantial amount of the stolen money is yet to be recovered.

The case will appear again before the Court on the 18th of this month.
