SIBC JOINS WORLD TO CELEBRATE WORLD RADIO DAY

The Country’s National Broadcaster, Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation SIBC will join others in celebrating World Radio Day next Monday, 15th February 2016.

World Radio Day marks the importance of celebrating radio, why we love it and why we need it today more than ever.

A day to remember the unique power of radio to touch lives and bring people together from every corner of the globe.

Like other organizations, United Nation Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO will commemorate the day as well.

A statement from the UNESCO says, amidst the ruins and in the face of an emergency, radio is often the first medium for survival.
