SINTA Industrial Relations Officer Samson Faisi has asked Honiara City Council teachers to ignore their 2014 postings, and remain at their current schools.

At a press conference on Friday last week, Mr Faisi said teachers are confused if their 2014 postings are still valid as it was done by the former Education CEO, Don Houkura.

Mr Faisi said SINTA suggests that teachers posted out to different Honiara City Council schools this year by the former CEO, should remain at their current schools.

“So our suggestion we’ve given to the CEO, shared with the ministry, we want to suggest that teachers go back to their old schools at least for the start, while SINTA, the new CEO and the ministry short out the teachers’ postings”.

SIBC News understands Mr Houkura was recently appointed as the Education Director for the Honiara City Council.
