SINU has new Pro-Vice Chancellor
The Solomon Islands National University, SINU, has a new Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic).
A media statement from SINU confirmed Dr Jack Maebuta as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor.
Dr Maebuta was a Senior Fellow in Educational Administration at the University of the South Pacific’s Institute of Education and a Lecturer in Education prior to joining SINU.
With years of experience in academic leadership positions, he is also a current Adjunct Lecturer in Peace Studies at the University of New England’s School of Humanities in New South Wales, Australia.
From 2011 to 2012, Dr Maebuta worked as a Pacific Islands Research Fellow with the Australian National University’s State Society & Governance in Melanesia Program.
He holds a PhD in Peace Studies from the University of New England, Australia.
Dr Maebuta has published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in education and peace-building.
He began his new role as SINU’s Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) yesterday.
