THREE-MAN HEALTH TEAM VISITED NORTH MALAITA
Three medical doctors have visited various rural health centres in North Malaita Constituency.
One of the doctors Philip Komasi says the purpose of the trip is to fully understand various medical needs of rural people in the
constituency.
Dr Komasi says it is important to diagnose sick patients and provide them with the right drugs without the villagers having to travel to far away hospitals when the disease has reached its severe stages.
SIBC News stringer for North Malaita John Andrew Kiri reports.
“Dr Komasi said it was to reach out to the rural area health centres and clinics where most of our people are and listen to their various health needs, like children, women, men or whoever with a special health need so that by doing so, it can help health workers to give them the right health treatment.”
SIBC News understands the visitation is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Medical Service.
