YOUNG SOLOMON ISLANDER ACCEPTED INTO FILM AND TV ACADEMY

A young woman has just become the first Solomon Islander to be accepted into the elite acting school, The Australian Film and Television Academy, TAFTA.

Georgianna Lepping successfully auditioned for the founder of TAFTA John Orscik, via Skype.

Miss Lepping told an Australian entertainment magazine, Oz Mag, her dream is to become the first Pacific Island actress to win an Oscar or Golden Globe and bring the performing arts to her country.

She says she hopes the TAFTA course will launch her career.

She adds, considering she is from Solomon Islands, the TAFTA course is the platform she needs to be seen.
