YOUTH @ WORK TO HOST FIRST MARKET FESTIVAL THIS JULY
Youth At Work will hold its first ever Youth Market Festival and Concert next month.
The festival will be held from 14th to 18th July at Rove Police Grounds and will feature local stars 56 Hop Rod.
Youth At Work Program Manager Sandra Bartlet says the Youth Market Festival and Concert event would expand on the monthly Youth Market events organised by Youth At Work.
She says the Youth Market has grown to be very successful and it is time to take it to the next level.
Ms Bartlet says the Youth Market Festival and Concert will give youth businesses and entertainers a bigger, better and more professional venue to sell their goods and services and showcase their talents.
She says they are hoping to hold this event twice every year in July and December.
Meanwhile, the first day of the Youth festival will coincide with the launch of the YOSI youth magazine.
Youth At Work Program Manager Sandra Bartlett said the launch of YOSI magazine on Tuesday July 14th will be an exciting occasion for Solomon Islands youth.
She says the magazine will come out four times per year.
She says the magazine will be written by the youths and will tell their own stories so they can motivate and encourage one another and raise awareness on issues youth face every day.
