The Solomon Islands Youth for Change Team has warned youths against selling their voting rights for cash.

Team leader Elwin Taloimatakwa says young people must understand their democratic voting right is not a commodity for sell.

He says voting is not a game as some people may think, rather it is dealing with peoples’ life.

Mr Taloimatakwa explains, the National constitution states it rightly, voting is a right and one must do it with a clear conscience.

He adds, the process is important because it mandates our representative to be effective legislatures.

Mr Taloimatakwa says selling of Biometric Voter IDs only expose our future to greater leadership risk.
