AFIO, SMALL MALAITA CONFIRMS SEVEN MEASLES CASES

Afio Health Centre in Malaita Province has recorded seven suspected measles cases since the measles outbreak early this year.

Richard Hou from Afio told SIBC News, Acting Community Health Nurse Consultant Lucy Sita said, the seven cases do not cover those recorded by surrounding clinics.

“The Afio health centre has confirmed that at the moment it has seven suspected cases of measles while other clinics have yet to hand in their data.”

Hou adds, Mrs Sita said Afio Health Centre could not get updated information from other health centres due to communication problems.
