A $1.5 million modern health facility was recently opened at Marovo, Western Province.

Called the Batuna Pioneer Memorial Clinic, it comes under the ‘Adopt a Clinic Health Program’ of the Seventh Day Adventist church in the pacific.

Speaking during the opening of the project, Western Provincial Premier Wayne Maepio said this is another milestone for Marovo lagoon to take ownership of such a health facility.

Premier Maepio said this support is always rare and it comes with a wealth of support, commitment and love from outside donors who are part of the Seventh Day Adventist church.

He urged the people of Marovo lagoon to value such assets in caring and looking after them.

Meanwhile, the Western Province Premier adds his government will always support and continue to have a dialogue with such initiatives and programs to see needed health care services in the rural communities.
