BUSINESS WOMEN ENCOURAGED TO BE SELF-RELIANT

Winner of the Business Woman of the Year Award is encouraging housewives in Solomon Islands to be self-reliant instead of depending on their husband or partner as breadwinners.
Karina Paeneitala is the winner of the 2016 Solomon Islands Women in Business Association (SIWIBA’s) Business Woman of the Year Award.
Mrs. Paeneitala encourages other women, particularly housewives, to become members of SIWIBA and make use of their talents no matter what level of education background they acquire.
She says they must also learn to stand on their own and not depend on their husband or partners or money all the time.
“We shouldn’t depend only on the husband, like once upon a time I am depending on my husband but when he’s gone I learn to be myself and God is with me.”
