Choiseul Province Premier, Jackson Kiloe has expressed condolences to the families and relatives of people and children who lost their lives in last week’s flash floods.

In a statement today, Premier Kiloe said it is heartbreaking to learn of the families who lost their loved ones, adding “losing one member of a family to disaster is very sad indeed, but to lose more than one family member is unimaginable”.

He says people who have not experienced such loss may never fully understand the grief and pain the victims are going through right now.

The Choiseul Province Premier also offered thoughts and prayers on behalf of his province and people, saying their sympathies are also with those who lost their homes, properties, businesses and livelihoods to the disaster.

The Premier said it is their sincere prayer that the flood victims have the strength and courage to recover from the loss sooner.
