Malaita Provincial Police Commander Alfred Uiga says ensuring a ‘crime free Malaita’ is his priority for 2016.

Speaking to SIBC’s “Distaem Nao” program this morning, Mr Uiga says police will continue to tighten law and order in Malaita Province.

“Police will continue to maintain the law of the land as it is one of the main objectives for the police to ensure that everyone in Malaita can live a harmonoius life that is crime-free.”

The Provincial Police Commander also appeals for cooperation between the public and the police.

He says his team is confident to ensuring a peaceful Malaita.
